What They’re Saying
Need more info? Check out our most frequently asked questions.
How do dashcams work?
Dash cams work by continuously recording video of the road ahead while the vehicle’s ignition is on and 15 minutes after the ignition is off. They are generally powered by the vehicle’s power source and save the recorded video to an internal storage device (SD card) to later be accessed manually.
Are the cables included in the package?
The cables are not included in the package. You can order them separately on our website.
How do I install the Dashcam?
The camera is a plug-and-play solution. It is shipped with all required accessories for installation in a light/medium-duty vehicle with a 16-pin OBDII port or 9-pin.
Does the camera drain my vehicle’s battery?
The camera is always monitoring the vehicle’s battery and will automatically shut itself down if it detects that the vehicle battery voltage falls below 11.9VDC for more than 5 minutes, ensuring it does not drain the vehicle battery when parked for extended periods.
Do dash cams work in areas with no cellular signal or Wi-Fi?
Yes, dashcams will continue to provide in-cab alerts to drivers with limited or no cellular coverage, and event footage will be cached on the dashcam. Once connectivity is restored, the videos will be sent to the platform and available for viewing.
